Acceptable Use Policy

This policy keeps Alvy useful, trustworthy, and safe for businesses and customers.

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what is not allowed when using Alvy. It helps protect businesses, customers, wallet platforms, and Alvy.

2. Illegal or Harmful Use

You must not use Alvy for illegal products, unlawful services, fraudulent loyalty schemes, harmful content, harassment, abuse, or activity that breaches applicable laws.

3. Misleading Rewards

You must not advertise rewards, discounts, or benefits that you do not intend to provide.

Your loyalty rules, expiry dates, reward terms, and exclusions should be clear and honoured by your business.

4. Spam and Notifications

You must not use Alvy to spam customers, send misleading messages, or contact customers without an appropriate lawful basis.

Promotions and reminders should be useful, limited, and relevant.

5. Data Misuse

You must not collect, upload, or use personal data through Alvy without a lawful reason.

You must not collect sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and legally permitted.

6. Wallet and QR Misuse

You must not misuse Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, QR codes, staff scanning, join links, or customer card links.

You must not duplicate QR codes for unauthorised branches or use wallet passes in a misleading way.

7. Security Abuse

You must not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, scrape data, attack Alvy infrastructure, or access another business account without permission.

8. Enforcement

Alvy may suspend accounts, disable QR codes, restrict wallet passes, remove content, or terminate access if this policy is breached or if usage creates risk for Alvy, customers, or third parties.
